* **No Account Required:** Scanly is designed to be used without creating an account or logging in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or login credentials.

* **User-Generated QR Codes & Notes:**

* When you use the QR Generator to create custom QR codes (such as vCard Contact, Wi-Fi, URL, or Email QR codes) or when you add custom notes/tags to your scans, this data is processed and stored **100% locally on your device** (via Hive storage) and is never uploaded or transmitted to any server.

* **Customer Support:** If you contact us via email for support, we only use your email address to reply to your inquiry.

### B. Device and Usage Data (Automatically Collected)

* **Device Details:** We collect technical device data such as device model, operating system version (iOS/Android), and unique device identifiers (like IDFA on iOS with ATT permission or Advertising ID on Android).

* **Usage Statistics:** Through Google Firebase Analytics, we track anonymous app interactions (e.g. screen views, scan feature usage, generator usage).

* **Diagnostics & Crash Reports:** Through Firebase Crashlytics, we collect anonymous crash stack traces and diagnostic logs to fix bugs.

### C. Device Permissions

* **Camera (`NSCameraUsageDescription`):** Required to scan barcodes and QR codes in real time. Video frames are processed locally on device and are never recorded, uploaded, or transmitted.

* **Photo Library (`NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription`):** Required only when you choose to scan a barcode from an existing image in your photo gallery, or save generated QR codes / PDF export cards to your photos.

* **App Tracking Transparency (`NSUserTrackingUsageDescription` on iOS):** With your permission, used to deliver personalized advertisements via Google AdMob and measure ad campaign performance.
